Texas DAR Grant Opportunity for Title 1 SchoolsThe TXDAR Junior Membership Committee is pleased to announce a new platform and deadline for the Texas DAR Title I Grant, an opportunity available to educators in Texas Title I schools. Teachers, administrators, and school support staff working at Title I campuses are invited to apply for a $500 classroom grant to support projects that enhance student learning in the areas of health, literacy, and general education. The purpose of this grant is to assist educators in creating engaging, supportive, and effective learning environments for students. This funding may be used for initiatives that directly support curriculum goals, such as:
While a variety of classroom needs may be considered, consumable items such as snacks, paper products, and other disposable supplies are not eligible for funding. To apply, educators must list their sponsoring DAR chapter and provide the chapter’s contact information, obtain school administrator approval, and include a brief project description outlining the need and intended impact of the requested funds. The application deadlines are Jan. 31 and Sept 15. Applications will be reviewed and ranked by the TXDAR Grant Committee. TXDAR encourages educators to take advantage of this opportunity to support student success and strengthen learning experiences within Title I classrooms.
