TXDAR Title I Classroom Grant – Sponsoring Chapter Checklist

Summer / Fall Deadline | September 15

Winter / Spring Deadline | January 31

Grant Amount: $500 per classroom

1. Connect with the applying educator and confirm the chapter will sponsor their application.

2. Provide chapter contact information to the educator for inclusion in their application.

3. Verify the educator's school is a Texas Title I campus.

4. Confirm the project description addresses health, literacy, or general education — not consumable items.

5. Confirm application is submitted before the deadline (January 31 or September 15).

6. Notify chapter members of the awarded grant.

7. Reach out to awardee to see if there are questions.

⚠ Awardee Responsibility The awardee is responsible for providing photos and an after-action report to the chapter.

8. Receive photos and after action report from awardee. Ensure that a photo release has been obtained.

9.Submit awardee's photos and after action report to the TXDAR Junior Membership Committee, and post on TXDAR FB and DARlings.
