TXDAR Title I Classroom GrantsApplications Due Jan. 31 and July 31The TXDAR Junior Membership Committee is pleased to announce a new grant opportunity available to educators in Texas Title I schools. Beginning in 2025, teachers, administrators, and school support staff working in Title I campuses are invited to apply for a $500 classroom grant to support projects that enhance student learning in the areas of health, literacy, and general education. The purpose of this grant is to assist educators in creating engaging, supportive, and effective learning environments for students. This funding may be used for initiatives that directly support curriculum goals, such as:
While a variety of classroom needs may be considered, consumable items such as snacks, paper products, and other disposable supplies are not eligible for funding. To apply, educators must secure a sponsoring DAR chapter and provide the chapter’s contact information, obtain school administrator approval, and include a brief project description outlining the need and intended impact of the requested funds. Only one grant will be awarded per school each year. The application deadlines are Jan. 31 and July 31. Applications will be reviewed and ranked by the TXDAR committee. If the number of applicants exceeds available funding, applicants may choose to roll their submissions forward to the next grant cycle. TXDAR encourages educators to take advantage of this opportunity to support student success and strengthen learning experiences within Title I classrooms.
