Colonel George Mason Chapter, NSDAR

The Colonel George Mason Chapter, NSDAR, was formally organized on April 16, 1955, during the administration of Texas State Regent Mrs. Loretta Grim Thomas. Fourteen charter members, including Mrs. Nellen Sellers Arthurs and Mrs. Frances Sellers Odell, were direct lineal descendants of Colonel Mason. The yearbook for 1955-57 listed 16 members, including the Organizing Regent, Mrs. Charles R. McKenney.
